I was curious to know if Preston Tucker ever kept one of the Tuckers for himself if so which production number was it?Also in the movie when he did the chase through town with the police in pursuit of him...if that did happen in real life was it ever documented on which car that was in...Just to let the other Tucker Fans know that I have been interested in the Tucker automobile since I was 14 years old when I first heard about it on the TV...I am now 30 so the Tucker has been "part" of my dream for more than half my life...At the age of 15 I was very fortunate to see the Tucker # 1047 in Hickory Corners Michigan at the Gilmore museum...I highly recomend that anyone that can visit that museum to do so if possible...I remember the Fella that took our group on the tour there mentioned that #1047 was the one that Preston's wife had for herself or was supposed to get and at one time in that cars life it had transmission trouble and had been repaired...not cuttin on the Tucker they have just trying to reinforce what I was told about the car.I think it would of been the greatest to have had the Tucker been mass produced...I hope to someday be the proud owner of one of these magnificent cars, one of the originals, then at that point I can say I "made it" in my own business venture.I would like to say one more thing here in honor of Preston Tucker...Preston Tucker is a fine example of "A Man and His Dream"...His legacy is what any entreprenuar should set there standards to....Dale from South Carolina.

1030 is reputed to have been his 'personal' car, but chances are he drove them all at one point or another.

The chase in the movie was done with Tucker 1013. I was there for the filming.
